LitPick Review
The picture of a missing child printed on a milk carton attracts the attention of 15-year-old Jane Johnson. A glimpse of the girl's polka-dot dress causes memories to surface, and Jane begins to review her past and question her true identity.
Opinion:
Throughout the book the focus was rarely on the mystery of the kidnapping of Janie. The focus, instead, was on the relationship between Janie and her boyfriend, Reeve. The description of the book made me think it was an interesting children’s novel, but when I read the book I found it was a boyfriend and girlfriend novel. When I got to the end I was disappointed, because it basically stated, “Read the next book in this series to find an end to the story.” Teenagers should only read the Face on the Milk Carton. Parents of younger audiences should be cautioned about the content.
