The main characters in this book are Charlie, Henry and Bone. Bone is a dog who has a sister Squirrel and they are born in a shed. Then, they loose their mother. Bone and Squirrel must survive on their own. Then, when Bone and Squirrel find a home and think they can live as a family. Unfortunately, they get abandoned and thrown in a parking lot and a girl comes and picks up Bone and leaves Squirrel behind. Now Bone will have to live with out Squirrel. Will he be able to survive alone? Charlie is a young boy who was once a younger brother to a boy named RJ. Then, when RJ dies and Charlie is heartbroken all he has is dog Sunny and his parents who help him get over his brothers death. Then, just as Charlie thought things couldn't get any worse, they did. Henry is a young boy who has wanted a dog his whole life. All he has is his parents and a best friend, but he won't have a best friend for long because his best friend is moving and when Henry finds out he is very upset. Now that Henry's best friend hs left him, he thinks his parents will let him get a dog to keep him company. Is Henry right about this? Will he finally get what he has wanted his whole life?

Opinion: 

I think the book was pretty good. The book was a little confusing in the beginning, but it made more scense towards the end. Once I got into the book I thought it was enjoyable. This is a good book for people who love dogs and anyone who likes to sit down and read.
