Eragon, a farm boy from Palancar Valley, discovers an odd blue stone in a forest. The stone turns out to be the egg of a dragon, and Eragons life changes forever. He becomes a Rider and he and his dragon, Saphira, must save the day!

Opinion: 

I loved this fantasy adventure and still find it hard to believe that it was written by a teen.  The characters are great and the storyline keeps your interest from beginning to end.  I highly recommend this book!
