The book Discovering Pig Magic is about a young girl named Matilda along with her two best friends who discover how hard facing growing up is when you are thirteen years old. One of Matilda's friends, Ariel has a dream to be just like Rachel Ray and fellow in her foot steps. Nikki finds that it is hard to trust her parents after she finds out the big secret. Matilda started loving pigs at the age of six when her aunt gave her very first pig key chain. Now her thirteen birthday is coming up, and she hates pigs.
