Tommy is an orphan in the nineteenth century. You wouldn't expect that he's a member of the Explorers' Society. TheExplorers' Society is a group of people that study and explore portals, or doorways to other worlds.During investigating a hotel, Tommy is trapped and betrayed. More than a hundred years later, his ghost appears in the hotel. Tommy warn Jezebel Lemon, a normal 12 year old girl. SoonTommy the ghost and Jezebel are up against the notorious Dead Gentleman. Can this ghost and this girl defeat him?

Opinion:

I found this book incredibly boring. It was extremely hard to concentrate on the tiny text and I continually found myself lost in my thoughts and imagination, daydreaming. I can imagine it wouldn't be hard for any other person to the same as me, that a book so boring and dull should be put down and not considered. I also believe that the first impression of a book is important and in "The Dead Gentleman," the first impression I got was, "Gee, this book is boring." The writing style is nothing special and the idea is partially cliche. I think some people may enjoy this book if they'd like to be committed to the story rather than the writing and presentation. If that's the kind of reading you enjoy, then this book is for you.
