Lady Victoria (Tory) has a life that most girls would envy; she has a butler, a maid, a big mansion, a fine title, and a great education. But she has something else&magic. Its a secret, and one that ruins her when she uses it to save her nephews life. Tory gets sent to a school where they try to rid her of her disgraceful talent, but enters a club where using magic is the objective. Later on, Tory gets sent to a time where magic is a fairy-tale, and what she has means nothing. She must team up with the old and new world to save all she loves and get back home.

Opinion:

M.J. Putney added a lot of elements in this story that attract young readers. Magic, a girls independence, and a little romance make this book an absolute must have. I am sorry to say the ending was not as great as it could have been. Which is why I ask for her, or him, to please write a book two. I couldnt put the book down, and then when I got to the end and it had stopped, I was really depressed. All in all, it had a fantastic story line, wonderful characters, and a wonderful tone. I cant wait to read more about Tory, hopefully, in the future.
