In the third book of the Conspiracy 365 series, Cal is once again rescued from near death by a new ally. His problems, however, are far from over. He can't stay for more than a few nights without endangering the man who saved his life, and he still is being chased by two unfriendly and ruthless gangs both wanting information on the Ormond Riddle, Ormond Singularity, and the Ormond Angel, all of which Cal would like to know more about himself. He still can't visit his little sister, a victim of the vicious attack that made Cal a fugitive, and he still doesn't know if he can trust Winter, the ward of one of his greatest enemies. Then's there's the kid he's seen on the streets who looks exactly like Cal used to look and also the haunting dreams of the white threadbare toy dog that scares him more than anything else, as hard as this is to believe. Cal finally seems to hit a lucky break when he discovers the precious words to the Ormond Riddle might be closer than he thought. That is, until it leads Cal to once again be close to death at the end of the book and this time, it's not just Cal's life that is at stake.

Opinion:

The plot of this book is intriguing, though after a while it seems like the books run together with Cal never getting closer to finding anything new out and only almost getting himself killed numerous ways or sitting around thinking about how little he knows and all the trouble he's in. The writing itself is a little over the top with almost all the dialogue ending in an exclamation mark or both an exclamation mark and a question mark. While this book was recommended for high schoolers, as a high schooler myself, I would recommend it for middle school readers or someone who likes an easy read. Despite these flaws, I will still keep reading the series just to find out how Cal gets out of the desperate situations he is always left in at the end of each book and to find out how the dreams of the toy dog and the boy who looks like Cal play into the story.
