Set during the early days of Prohibition in 1921, Choosing Up Sides is a well-designed study of personal choice. Luke Bledsoe, a thirteen- year-old preacher's son finds himself torn between conflicting messages about the value of sports in life.

Opinion:

Choosing Up Sides is a very interesting historical fiction about a forgotten period of time in the United States during prohibition.  I enjoyed the storyline around baseball and the importance this game can play in life.
