Tiki Tinklemeyer SO didn't want to end up moving away from all of her friends; let alone spend a week at cheerleading camp. But trying to fit in and make a few decent friends before high school may not be her top priority. Legend has it that the spirit of Lexy Mills, a young girl who was drowned by her best friend at this very camp, still lurks around Valentine. So what happens when Tiki's camp mates find threats in the mail, supposedly sent by Lexy herself? From snakes in the cabin to razor blades in the bathroom, the ghostly pranks never end at Camp Valentine. Who's behind it all? Is it someone in another cabin? Is it someone in Tiki's cabin? Is it really the spirit of Lexy Mills?
Opinion:
At first, I honestly didn't like this book. The dialogue was dumb and unrealistic, and the storyline seemed stupid. Your average school girl; all alone in the world; feeling anonymous. But Dana did a great job of carrying the story along, and I became a little more engaged as it continued. The story with Lexy Mills I didn't like very much, but when the ghost appeared before Tiki, the author did not hesitate to raise the suspense. The ending was just phenomenal, I have to say! A real cliff-hanger! I wonder if there will be a sequel coming out soon, because if there is, I'll be happy to check it out.
