Dara must fulfill her destiny of defeating Chaos as well as finding the truth about her people, the Shamra. She continues her journey to find the Stone Mountain Shamra while finding recruits who are brave enough to battle the powerful Chaos. Along the way, Dara rekindles friendships from the past and creates new ones as well. But she will also face several betrayals which lead her to wonder who she can really trust.

Opinion:

This book is not one of my favorites. I found it very confusing because there are so many different and mythical species that it was impossible to keep track. The main character herself was confusing age wise because I believed her to be a teenager when in reality she becomes a mother. This book also just seemed to take an extremely long time to get through. There were so many small stories put into the one book, especially with the novella at the end, that I wish this would have been made into two books instead of one. When I chose to read this book, I did not know that this was the third book in a series. Maybe if I had read the series from the beginning I would have had a different opinion of the book.
