This book is about the life of a Meta-human named Ember. She has the ability to suck fire into her body. Ember helps fight crime with five other Meta- humans and the LAPD. A series of murders has the police questioning everybody. The Meta- humans are being questioned and what the police are holding them back from solving the murder cases. What will happen when Ember discovers a huge secret about the cases?
Opinion:
I really liked this book. It was hard for me to put down. I thought the plot was beautifully written and even though it was the second book in the series it was really easy to understand the characters and their lives. The book had a few twists and a surprise ending that left me wanting more. I will definitely get the next book in the series.
