I've always known about the segregation and prejudice that happened between black people and white people. However, I never knew that at one point in time people had a prejudice attitude toward Catholics. 15 year-old Carl Matuski and his 17 year-old brother Adam have moved from Baltimore to Portland, Oregon. Almost immediately after arriving, Adam is accused of stealing jewelry from a rich white mans house. Carl believes that they are just accusing Adam because he is a Catholic with polish ancestors. But As Carl fights to clear his brothers name, he gets deeper and deeper into the mystery. And when it all comes down to and end, you won't believe who the finger points to after all truth has been revealed...

Opinion: 

I enjoyed this book because it taught me that there was more segregation in America then just the obvious. But the odd thing is, I didn't even realize all the stuff I was learning until after I finished the book. In fact, I didn't even know I was learning! Which just goes to prove what a spectacular write Libby Sternberg is. And how interesting life in America in 1922 was...
