LitPick Review
Are our schools safe? Usually when asked this question, the typical answer is no. Such is the case in Suzanne Phillip's book Burn. When Cameron is terrorized by his fellow classmates, he doesn't tell anyone, letting the situation escalate until what they do ends the bullies in jail, butwhat they did to him subsequently forces him to do the unthinkable. Cameron may have ruined his life forever. What happens when Cameron realizes there may be no second chances in life?
Opinion:
I enjoyed reading Burn simply because it opened my eyes to the drastic effects bullying may have on some people. Shocking and slightly disturbing, this book is a wake up to everyone out there who is either a bully or is being bullied. It shows why you should take a stance against
bullying, and if you don't, the dramatic consequences that may follow. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read, but people who are faint of heart may not be able to handle some of the more disturbing parts of this book. An excellent book, Suzanne Phillips has created a book that captivates you and won't let you go until you finish reading.
