Bullcatcher is about a boy in high school who's friend is obsessed about baseball, and so is he until he starts thinking if it is the right thing to do.

Opinion:

I found Bullcatcher to be a very good book for third or fourth graders interested in sports.  The story and message can relate to any sport where people get too focused on the game and lose sight of the world around them.  This book has a few bad words but if you can stand that it is a very good book.
