Jessica Bailey has a reoccurring nightmare. Every night
she suffers as she is tried for acts that other people have
committed in their lives. If she is damned she is branded
and she grows wings; if she is labeled as a good person, she
is ascended up to the heavens. When she wakes, her screams
pierce the night and her scar in the shape of angel wings on
her back burns and throbs. Things start to change in
Jessica's everyday life. A handsome man comes to the house
she is taking care of and claims it. He lets her stay.
Predictably, she grows to like him, but she is scared to let
him know her pain that she feels every time she sleeps.
Eventually she lets him in and all is well in her life: she
makes friends, gets new clothes, and she feels normal. Life
starts to change again when another handsome man moves in
two houses down. Jessica is drawn to this man as well, but
something is not right. Her dreams are changing; she starts
to get sick. Things are happening that she has no control of.

Opinion:

This is a book full of twists and creativity. If you
think this is another love story, you are wrong. This is a
great read. I loved the details and how I could visualize
the descriptions. It contains some violence, but not too
much. It has romance and ideas that ages 15-20+ would
understand.
