"Boyology" by Sarah O'Leary Burningham is a fun book for girls. As the title suggests, the book is all about boys. However, the main focus is on dating. Advice from girls is included, as are several brief testimonials from famous young stars. In general, Burningham gives advice for what type of boy to date, what a date is, how to set boundaries, how to handle break-ups, and more. Several real and made-up situations are described in detail. There are even quizzes included.

Opinion:

For girls that wanted a crash course in the psychology of the male mind, they do not get that. While there are quotes from boys, and even parts of the book where the author's husband gives his two cents, the book reads like an advice column in a magazine. While there are positive elements (how to say no when a boy gets too touchy, why girls deserve respect, and that friendships are better than relationships), this book may not be the best for the younger girls.
