LitPick Review
Blessed is about a teenage girl named Quincie who is turned into a vampire by the chef who works at her family's restaurant. Her life is not at all perfect because of the tragedies she experiences; her parents die, her uncle gets murdered, her best friend and lover moves away, and her grandfather gets murdered as well. Throughout the story she meets her guardian angle, acquires new staff for her restaurant, and makes some new friends. Her quest is to track down and kill the man responsible for her undeadness to save her new friend from becoming what she is. The clock ticks away and time is running out for Quincie's friend. Blessed is the third book in a trilogy named Tantalized.
Opinion:
I think this book is a complete copy on the Twilight saga. There are vampires, werewolves, and a few people who want to kill the main character. The writing style is not the best I've seen and sometimes my thoughts traveled else where while reading, but I think that once you get into the mood of the story you really want to finish it. Compared to the Twilight series, this book is nothing, considering that the story line was almost completely the same. By the end of the book I wasn't disappointed when it ended, as one usually does when finishing a good book, I felt rather relieved. The story was dull as a rock at some points but also quite intriguing at others. The author could have definitely improved the story in place. This book is not one that I would recommend quickly to other readers.
