Alec Ramsay and his fierce companion, the Black, have found another adventure while waiting on the set for Young Alexander, a new movie being filmed in the remote Bulgarian wilderness near a monastery only accessible by very special people. Alec and his stallion are part of the movie, and soon find that the filmmaking process involves a lot of waiting. So, while on break, Alec mounts the Black and goes exploring. Soon they are on a dangerous and isolated path, which leads them to a strange white mare with ruby eyes. The Black pursues her, only to plunge into the icy cold river, where the companions are separated and swept into a strange village. At first, the people there are kind and hospitable, but even the fiery black stallion and his rider do not realize the true danger that awaits them.

Opinion:

I absolutely loved this book! In some parts, I was unable to put it down. It has lots of action mixed with parts about Greek mythology, making an excellent story. This book will be entertaining and exciting to readers of any age. The Black will enchant you once again in this wonderful story and thrilling adventure.
