Gaia Stone, a sixteen-year-old girl, is a midwife with her mother. It is her job to give a quota of babies to the Enclave every month. When Gaia's parents are captured by the Enclave, Gaia begins to question the people who control her life. She must either live in hope that her parents will come back or she will have to break every rule she has been taught to try and save them.

Opinion:

I thought Birth Marked was an excellant book. It is a mixture of science fiction, adventure, and romance all in one book. The end of each chapter makes you want to keep reading and almost impossible to put the book down. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read something different from all the normal books and likes to read a little of every genre.
