LitPick Review
The year is 1888 and Jedediah Hood, a Half-Breed (half Cherokee, half Irish) was
driven out of his home with his mother and sister when his father was murdered
by a group of outlaws and their leader Emmett Stone. They then fled to the
Cherokee tribe. Now, coming back to his homeland to claim his fathers land, he
finds an unlikely friend in Ruben Fudd. His hometown of Iron Gate has had many
attacks from a man-eating mountain lion. Also, a mysterious stranger has been
confronting Emmett Stone and his group of outlaws. Hood will stop at nothing
until justice and safety are restored in Iron Gate.
Opinion:
This is a good book worth reading. It is on the shorter side but the number of pages is just right for the
amount of story in the book. The author puts you on your toes just waiting for
the next page and the ending is phenomenal.
