Akarnae is a book for action lovers of all ages. The main character is Alex, an adventurous teenage girl whose parents send her off to a boarding school. When something goes wrong as she enters the school, she finds herself in a mysterious world, and the only person who can help her get out is gone for the year. During that year, Alex attends school in the new world and makes two good friends. They go on lots of adventures together and have lots of fun. This is a good book, and I really enjoyed it.

Opinion:

Akarnae really is a page-turner. I loved the action and surprises around every corner. Lynette Noni really made me feel as if I were in the book with her descriptions of characters and settings. She also develops the characters really well, and throughout the book I felt very connected to them. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy Harry Potter, as there is some element of magic and a whole lot of action. This is a book for ages 12 and up.
