But after a long trek through jungles, over deserts, and up a giant ice-topped mountain, the last crumb of cake is stolen by a herd of thieving goats, and their goal is nowhere in sight. Will they ever discover the Ends of the Earth? Could it be in the last place they’d ever think to look?

In Pigsticks and Harold and the Incredible Journey by Alex Milway, the main character, Pigsticks, a pig who wants to be famous like his ancestors; wants to go to the ends of the earth.  Pigsticks needs an assistant, but there are no suitable animals.  Then he meets Harold, a not-so-cheery or adventurous hamster, and they go off on a journey.  They go through the jungle, the desert, and over a mountain.  Will their journey make them friends?
