Hal and the rest of the Herons was exiled from Skandian when
he let the Andomal get stolen, the most prized possession of
the Skandian. He and the Herons decide to take off after the
pirate thief, Zavac that took it. Soon after they start off
they find they have a surprise visitor, Thorn, Hal's
father-like-figure. They track him all the way down to the
rich port city Limmat. Following the pirate invasion Hal and
his crew have to battle to take back the port and the
Andomal to be able to walk on Skandian soil again.

Opinion:

This book was amazing! It kept my attention from start to finish
with its action, adventure, epic battles, and many
characters. The author can do all of this and more, and
brings it all together to make one awesome book. I would
recommend that if you like this one that you would like his
other series, Rangers Apprentice. It has the interesting
quests and epic battles. I would recommend this book to kids
11 and up.
