LitPick Review
Lyn,the daughter of a neo-gladiator, has grown up knowing the strange TV gladiator rules and traditions. Tommy, Lyn'sseventh gladiator stepfather, is finishing up his TV contract, and can't wait to get out of the business. Then suddenly everything goes wrong and Tommy dies in the arena; but that's not the only problem. Uber, Tommy's arena opponent, has captured Lyn's dowry bracelet, and now Lyn must decide whether to marry him and save her family's fortune, or to be banned from society-but there just might be another option.
Opinion:
To me this book was pretty much a disappointment. I try never to compare books, but since the back of the books aid " "For Fans of the Hunger Games"" I'd have to say it wasn't even close to being as good as "The Hunger Games." It started out okay, but during the middle of the book it seemed to linger on. It also had a few curse words sprinkled throughout the book, so that just added to my list of dislikes. So overall I wouldn't recommend it. Appropriate for ages 14 and up.
