Did you know matches were invented by a few Chinese ladies? Or that the Terracotta Army is a burial ground of an emperor with his army all made out of clay? These are a few things you will learn from this book. You explore all of the dynasties of China to present day. Religion, emperors wars, and inventions are all discussed along the way. It is a history book that touches on many aspect of Chinese history. The neat part about this book is that unlike some history books it doesn't get dull. It doesn't go on and on about one dynasty or topic but covers the whole history of China in less than 300 pages.

Opinion:

My opinion of "China" was that it was an interesting book about the various dynasties of China. I liked how it had interesting facts, described some words that might have been new to readers, and helped with the pronunciations of some of the tough Chinese words. At some points it did get a little dull and at some points did not touch on things enough. For example the book touched on dragons and their role in China but I personally think they should have been discussed more since their role was huge in the history of China. If you do not know anything or know little about China I am positive you will learn a lot from reading this book.

Explain your content rating:

I gave this book adult guidance because at one part in the book it talks about eunuchs. Eunuchs were all male and had their reproductive system removed to become a eunuch. Also many affairs and secretive relations were talked about in the book. Parents should just be aware before they allow their kids to read the book.
