Ave wakes up not knowing who she is or where she is. As the book continues we follow Ave as she searches for the truth about herself and the world shes in. Soon she starts to remember bits and pieces of her life before, but is this life true or not? Then a boy named Morgan shows up telling her he wants to take her home. So who will Ave believe, what will Ave believe? In As I Wake we will find out. (Maybe)

Opinion:

As I Wake is nothing like I thought it would be, especially after reading the summary featured on the book. I think it leads you to believe that its a spy action/adventure book, but it was definitely a sci-fi book. It was pretty hard to follow at the beginning, and as you continue reading. I dont think Elizabeth Scott gives you enough to go on, from the plot, to the setting, and even whose point of view youre reading about. The characters I thought were very confusing and Im really sorry, but I cant elaborate on why that is, because that would ruin the book for you. Now on the bright side Elizabeth Scott fills her book with emotion. Her poetic writing style is very interesting even if its, in some parts, hard to read and, I have to say, its one that grabs you and makes you want to understand whats going on. Over all its kind of bumpy, especially at the beginning. It does get better in the middle, but then Elizabeth Scott throws you a curve ball towards the end and youre left thinking What just happened? I honestly finished this book with more unanswered questions than answered ones and not in an Is there a sequel? way.
