David is a musical genius at Stanton High School, the most competitive public high school in New York City. For the past four years, he has yearned after Delancy, his dream girl who is completely out of his league, and finally decides to ask her to prom. After David's friend betrays him at prom, he realizes he might lose Delancy for forever...and he will do anything to get her back.

Opinion:

I did not really like this book. I am a fan of Greek mythology, and I think Luke Loaghan had a good idea to make the tale of Orpheus modern, but he did not execute it well. I liked the characters and their personalities; the characters were not copies of each other and showed the variations of people within high school making them seem realistic. However, the main point of Orpheus's story was thrown it at the very end and everything before that just seemed to be drawn out and unnecessary.
