Fisher woke up in a pod. All he knew was his name, and the world is dangerous. At first, the broken robot chasing him seems like a threat, but he soon realizes that the robot is trying to help him. He and the robot adventure through a building in ruins and then outside. Fisher decides that the robots name should be Click. Fisher soon realizes that he knows hundreds of ways to catch and kill fish. Click explains to Fisher that he had installed the aspects of a fisherman to his life. He is the last human on the planet. Born from a pod,he must repopulate Earth. But, in the meantime, he must survive.

Opinion:

I have to say this book was a complete let down. When I read the description of the plot, it seemed to be great book. I read the author's last book, Kid vs. Squid, and it was fantastic. But, The Boy at The End of the World was simply boring. I found that the writing was poor and dull. The story dragged out, and I didnt like the overall format of the book. It seemed as though this book was rushed and done in a hurry. If youre in the mood for a great and fantastic book definitely try out Greg Van Eekhout's other book Kid vs. Squid.
