LitPick Review
A long time ago, all the staff and animals of a Circus were murdered on Halloween night, by the demon clown Punchinello and the circus's ringmaster. Many years later, Punchinello has escaped Poltergeist Prison, and holds a grudge against the Pniese (Monster Cops) Determined to kill all the Pniese, Punchinello teams up with the Ringmaster again, bringing the circus back to town, undead staff and all. This is a harder year than normal is in for the Pniese, and not just because of Punchinello being after them they also have a blind Colt (student) and a member of their group is distracted, pushing away her duties.
Opinion:
I don't remember Halloween Night Fever: End of the Long Walk very well, but I remember it well enough to notice a lot of improvement! The story flowed very smoothly and had a constant stream of action. Even the plot-building parts of the book are exciting, while in other books these parts are boring. I especially liked the ending, because it had an unexpected twist instead of the happy, predictable ending of most books. Also the books size is nice, not too short or too long. I think this is a really good thriller/horror book for teens and I would definitely recommend it to other students at my school.
