In this book, Greg is getting used to growing up. He is seeing more and more kids getting zits and hearing their voices deepening. Even his best friend is getting pimples. Another thing that is changing is his mom. His mom believes that he is beginning puberty, so she keeps giving him tips and books to help him for his "glorious transition into adulthood". His growing up isn't the only thing in this book that is going on. He is also dealing with trying to become an advertiser, make money, and lots of other crazy stuff that Greg does.

Opinion:

This is the fifth book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. Whatever I expected about this book, it was not the book I read. I was expecting a book that cracked me up at moments. I laughed at some parts of the book, but not at as many as some other books in the series. I liked the other books in this series much better than this one. I believe that the author could have made the plot a little more interesting. Some of the characters changed personalities. The book wasn't a complete letdown, and there were interesting parts.
