LitPick Review
"15 Minutes" by Steve Young is about a young boy named Casey Little. Casey is always late- for everything! Then Casey finds an odd-looking time machine in his attic, and he is sure that he will never be late again! What Casey will later find out is that the time machine only goes back 15 minutes and that it has a mind of its own! Will Casey ever be on time?
Opinion:
I thought "15 Minutes" was a really good book. Mr. Young made me believe that Casey was real because he gave Casey issues that a real person could experience, like bullying and fear, just to name a few. I liked Casey as a character most of the time, so I guess that's part of the reason why I liked the book. Sometimes, though, Casey got a little selfish. He was in a football game and the first time he was in the game, he lost the game for the team and everyone was mad at him. So then he kept going back in time until he won the game. Overall, though, I really liked the book.
