Never cross over onto the other side of the Grill, is what the mice are told.  The reason - rats and their ruler, Jupiter, live there.  One day, Albert Brown (a mouse) is pulled by the strange forces of the Grill into it.  In time the hidden secrets and happenings beyond the Grill are revealed and the mice must put a stop to it or else all major destruction will occur.

Opinion:

This book is very similar to the Redwall series: mice against rats.   It is an exciting animal adventure that will keep you interested from the first chapter to the last.
