LitPick Review
Stanley Yelnats's family has a history of bad luck, so he isn't too surprised when a miscarriage of justice sends him to a boys' juvenile detention center, Camp Green Lake. There is no lake - it has been dry for over a hundred years - and it's where he an others are sent to dig holes...
Opinion:
Holes has been read now by many preteens and teens for its insightful and humorous look at life and its consequences. The characters in Holes are unforgetable and by the end of the book you begin to question who are the sane and who are the somewhat insane at Camp Green Lake. I defintiely recommend this book to fourth and fifth graders as a fun read that you will enjoy.
