This book is about a twelve-year-old boy named Joey MacTagert. His dad wants him to enjoy hunting like he does. Joey likes going hunting with his dad but he freezes up when he gets ready to shoot a deer. Even though he can't get himself to shoot a deer, he is good at tracking them. His dad knows that there are deer out in their woods and he wants Joey to use his tracking skills to find them and kill them. What his dad doesn't know is that Joey has earned the older and more mature buck's trust. Will Joey catch the big buck to conquer his buck fever? Will his dad find out about his secret friendship with the Buck? Read Buck Fever to find out.

Opinion:

Buck Fever is a very good book but it is a little slow at first. If you like hunting you will like this book a lot. Once you really get into the book it gets really entertaining. It relates to my life a little because I also go hunting except I go hunting with my grandpa.
