When she gets a phone call from her grandmother, Minerva, also known as Gigi explaining that her former lover, Gideon is in a coma and needs Keiras help, she hops onto the first plane and makes her way to Vancouver. Although, she will not be accompanied by her lover, Adam, who insisted on staying in Rio Seco, Texas, she gets the pleasure of Daffyd ap Geraint, the Sidhe prince, her brother, Tucker and Tuckers lover, Niko, flanking her side. What no one realizes are the changes that are going to happen and the unexpected twists that are going to take place in all of their lives upon arriving in this overcasted city. Its up to Keira to uncover the importance of her birthright to the throne and her next step will therefore unravel the fate of her Family.

Opinion:

Blood Kin is the 3rd book to the Matters of the Blood series written by Maria Lima. The beginning of the book was slow but once I got past that, the rest of the book was a breeze and could not put it down. The turn of every page was something new and unexpected; by the end of every chapter, there were twists and turns that left you wanting more! Maria wrote with such description of the characters feelings that you could actually feel the sorrow, the tension, the love, radiating out the book. I would recommend this to anyone who wants suspense, love and action all mixed into a great book.
