Sixteen year old Mallory Hayden is an average teenager about as average as a soap opera celebrity can be! Mallory is the head writer of one of the hottest daytime soaps around, Likely Story. As the head writer, she has to deal with a sneaky mother, snobby co-workers, and an untrusting boyfriend, who tends to watch her every move. Other than those things, everything else is normal, until the Emmy nominations become public. Likely Story is nominated for multiple Emmy's and the atmosphere on set couldn't be any wilder! Will Mallory have a smooth trip down the red carpet, or will chaos be around every corner?

Opinion:

I fell in love with Likely Story from the first page. The way David Van Etten wrote captivated me with every word. He did such a great job with the characters, especially the snobby girls Mallory had to work with. He made them seem so real; I thought they were real people at times. When reading, I saw the book in my head like a movie, because Van Etten did such a great job with describing the settings. And even though Likely Story is the third book in the series, I had no trouble understanding anything, as it was all explained. I actually thought this book could stand alone very well, since I hadn't read the first two. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a fun, quick read that will have you turning the pages like crazy until you are finished!
