First off Arthas is the main character in the book and he is the prince. Arthas helps the owner's horse give birth. Two years later he tries to ride the horse, but the horse throws him off and gallops back to the castle. Arthas comes back to find his horse with a gash in his leg and the horse still ran with an injury, he named him Invincible because of his durability, strength, and speed. Later in the story, Terrenes, his father and Arthas start to get along. Two days later Arthas father is killed in the invasion of his castle. Arthas the finds the legendary sword of frost born. Arthas starts to turn evil. He takes over the Lich kings thrown. Christy Golden put her own twist at the end of the book. You have to read the book to find out.

Opinion:

Christy Golden put so much detail into the book, and that's what made it great. It's almost like you're there, and she described the characters so fantastically it seemed as if they are standing next to you. The overall plot was to turn Arthas into the Lich king, but she ( MS.Golden)puts so twists in the story like flashbacks and things like that that don't happen in the game this book is based off of. Like the end of the book the way he finds the sword, the way his father dies so many of these ways the author crated the unexspected that without would have madeit boring. From this book you learn not always to trust people but you're dreams and you're heart, and that they're is not allways happy endings to storys and that good doesn't allways win the battle sometimes nobody wins. I would not recomend this for people under the age of 12. There are words that they would not understand.
