A lovely little war by Angus Lorenzen is about the journey and life style a young boy went through while living in an internment camp in Japan. In this book you learn about how prisoners were treated, what they went through, and how some survived. This book shows the truth, it is not a sugar coated description of their experiences. Angus Lorenzen tells the story of his childhood before and after living in the camp. He also mentions some of his family members experiences.
Opinion:
This book was well written and interesting. The author makes you feel a connection to the characters that pulls you in. Throughtout the book, you wonder what will happen next and you hope that the characters make it out of everything okay. There are parts of the book that lack action, but then there are parts that keep the reader excited, as well. This book was a pleasure to read and was a quick read.
