Paisley Hanover is starting her sophomore year at Pleasant Hill High. She has devised a seven-point plan on how she will get into the right college. And it all starts with the yearbook class. Unfortunately, the administration overbooked the class, which means one person is going to have to leave. Guess who gets that honor. Yep, you guessed it. Paisley Hanover. On top of getting kicked out, she also completely humiliates herself by doing a move that is soon dubbed the "spastic jazz hands". What lies ahead for Paisley Hanover? Read the Book to find out!
Opinion:
This book was absolutely amazing! The author did an remarkable job of creating a vivid picture of the high school in your mind. Paisley is loveable, yet selfish, which makes for a funny read. She is not very open-minded at the beginning, and that just adds to the humor. I enjoyed the multiple plotlines throughout the story, as it did not just focus on one event. It would lead up to an event, the event would happen (usually not as planned), and then it would move on to another event. All the while, regrets about one thing or another hang over Paisley's head. The author's voice was distinct and promising. I think we can expect many more wonderful books to come from Cameron Tuttle. Paisley's tale is one of a changed person, and one that is definitely worth listening to. I would definitely recommend this book.
