OMGosh, that was the Kate Devine? Carole and her dad go on
a vacation to visit her dad's old military friends, who now
have a daughter named Kate. Kate Devine is a champion
horseback rider who has won many awards. Carole and Kate
get along naturally and become BFFs, but why didn't Kate
tell Carole that she rode horses and why is it that she
wants to quit riding forever? The Saddle Club members,
Carole, Stevie, and Lisa, are all excited about the
gymkhana that they planned together. With much persistence,
the three girls convince Kate to help out with the special
event. Can the three Saddle Club members manage to persuade
Kate Devine to continue riding again and join their horse
club?

Opinion:

Horse Power is the fourth book in the series and by
far the most enjoyable! The author, Bonnie Bryant, did a
very nice job of writing this interesting story. I thought
Kate Devine seemed like she would be a wonderful person to
have for a friend, and she has a great personality. This is
a very quick read that can keep your attention pretty well.
Horse Power is a great book for girls ages 9-12 who love
horses.
