LitPick Review
10 Leaders Who Changed the World is a nonfiction book by Clive Gifford. It details the lives and accomplishments of ten historic leaders - both good and bad - who were influential during their lifetimes. The book includes biographies of Mohandas Gandhi, Adolph Hitler, Nelson Mandela, and Winston Churchill. It's written almost like a graphic novel. The pictures keep the reader's attention from start to finish.
Opinion:
Gifford is very informative and descriptive with his writing, and the biographies are very well written. It's more interesting than most nonfiction books, with cartoons and captions. The vocabulary is simple, yet effective, making the book a good read for practically any age. The book takes you through many different events in history, and the transitions between all the profiles work nicely. Overall, the book was very well-written.
