Aaron, a ten-year-old boy, has just moved from the big city where he grew up to the middle of Amish country. Talk about changes. His new home is an abandoned Amish farm with quite a bit of history. When Aaron discovers a faded diary page and map in the old barn he sets out to solve its mysteries. Jake, the girl on the neighboring farm, tells him about the Amish boy who used to live on Aaron's farm before disappearing, drawn into the woods by the wind. Together they follow the map, piecing together the hundred-year-old mystery and discovering secrets they never thought possible.

Opinion:

The Time Cavern, although set in present day, has an errie futuristic feel. The well-paced movement of the storyline kept me interested all the way through. I really enjoyed this book, finding the characters easy to relate to and the science fiction theme appealing. Description throughout The Time Cavern was well done making it easy to get involved in the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes something unique or wants a fun, quick read.
