Richard has the ability to hear and enter paintings. There is a painting in his living room that tells him there is something very important in his past that he forgot about. They tell him that if he can find the right painting, it will tell him what it is and he will be able to remember. The rest of the book is about Richard's life while trying to locate the picture.

Opinion:

I did not think this book was very good. The first 150 pages were very slow, but then it got a little bit more interesting. There definitely could have been a lot more going on. It was also a bit confusing with him talking to the paintings. At some points you could not tell whether Richard was in a painting or in reality.
