Tamika is a teenager who has lost touch with her mother, Laura, but a summer trip to the old family house changes that. As Tamika's mother tries to live out her teen years again, they seem to switch roles briefly. At first, Tamika sits around the house and does nothing but complain and ask if they could return home. However, after some time looking through the house and learning about her Mom's and her family's history, Tamika takes charge and proves that she is a mature young woman.
