In this book Fern faces several conflicts. She finds out shocking things and experiences a tragedy. She also gets embarrassed and aggravated. Although not everything is a conflict, everything is alright when everyone's happy.. This book may not start out the way you expect, but in the end everything is better.

Fern lives in a family of five. She is 12 years old and feels like no one cares. Her mom is always off meditating and her dad is always making new commercials fir the family restaurant, Harry's. When a tragic accident rips Fern's family apart, Fern blames herself. Can she help get her family back together?

Fern’s family spends most of their time at their family restaurant, Harry’s, where her parents use their family for commercials. Her older sister Sara takes a year off of school to work at the restaurant. Fern’s in charge of watching her three-year-old brother, Charlie.
