This book starts out where A Christmas Carol left off, telling about Scrooge’s kindness and how it affects the people around him. He goes home one evening after a nice dinner to find Jacob Marley’s ghost: again. Marley now wants to escape the shadows and come into the Light, and he tells Scrooge exactly how to help him. They venture to relatives, friends, and old business partners to help Marley and find something about themselves along the way. This short but fun read adds a sequel to A Christmas Carol in true Dickens style.

Profile Picture

Without even reading Dickens's A Christmas Carol, we all know the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the heartless, avaricious elder who is visited on Christmas Eve by an apparition of his dead business partner Jacob Marley and three other ghosts, of Christmas past, present, and future. In the end, we learn the ghostly encounter changes Scrooge for the better. Scrooge and Marley is a continuation of the story, picking up right where Dickens left off.
