Starting where Beautiful Days leaves off, this book continues the stories of Astrid, Cordelia and Letty in the everyday struggles of their glamourous lives as up and coming stars and bootleggers. Astrid is questioning her hasty marriage to Charlie Grey, as she grows more and more attracted to her bodyguard. After a horrific event leaves her reeling she has to face both men in her life, and make choices that could possibly leave one of them dead.
