This book begins right when the previous book, Feral Curse, ended, with Kayla spread across the media and what seems to be an impending war between werepeople and humans.  The team (Clyde, Yoshi, Aimee, Kayla, and new ally Jess) flee from Kayla's hometown to be helped by old allies in their quest to do all they can to stop the impending war.  Their situation is not helped when they discover that the governor of Texas was captured and taken away by a supernatural creature claiming to be representing all werepeople in his actions.  This story includes a conclusion to the
