What Mr. and Mrs. Poloverdo thought was just another visitor to their home was what would change Paolo's forever. Angel Allegria was his name, killing his game. While the unsuspecting couple drank wine with the murder, he drew a knife from his belt and ended their lives. His eyes then were put on the boy, demanding him to approach. Paolo stood still and answered many personal questions. The killer and his boy, as Angel called him, then buried the parents. And they resided in the house for a few weeks...until a knock sounded at the door.
Revenge On Rairarubia, book 4 of the exciting series The Rairarubia Tapes Series, is the book I reviewed. In this book of the tale, Molly Doogan and her best friend, Netty Parmet, are just getting back from Rairarubia, a land from a story that originally was thought up of by Molly and her father. Once they returned, in the circle of nine stones that took them there sat an egg, a LARGE egg. They looked at the huge eggshell in the portal, and they found a small, but very noticeable, crack. In panic, the two take it back to Rairarubia.
Four years have passed; more than can be imagined has changed. Jay, now sixteen, is a hobo living a life on the tracks. Having nowhere to live after the death of his mother, the only remaining member of his family, he must ride the freight trains to escape a foster home. After being caught by the bulls, or Freight Train Police, he needs to be more careful on the tracks. The bulls robbed him; he was left with no money, food, or weapons to defend him or to cut food. He hops a train to escape the bulls and jumps on a flatbed car.
It all started with the dare. It all ended in a devastating result. Randy, a twelve-year, Geri, a thirteen-year old girl, and Jay, a boy the same age as Geri, were as bored and hot as can be one summer day. Geri states a dare: "Let's find Blue Pool!" Jay thinks of her as crazy, but she says she's dead serious. Randy doesn't want to go; he doesn't want to get in trouble. So, Jay and Geri set off. After a mile or so of walking on train tracks, they get tired of walking. And then, the unthinkable happens; a train comes. They get of the tracks.
