In the book, Thumbelina, a woman named Anne Marie really wants a baby. Since Anne Marie is not married she goes to a witch who gives her a little seed to plant. She plants the seed and it soon grows into a little girl that is the size of Anne Marie's right thumb. Anne Marie names the girl Thumbelina. Thumbelina begs her mom to let her sleep outside. Anne Marie would never agree because she is worried that something might happen to Thumbelina. Finally, one night Anne Marie lets Thumbelina sleep outside. Thumbelina soon learns that she should have listened to her mom.
The Temptress Four is about four girls named Fiona, Killian, Alma and Yoli. The girls have just graduated from high school, and they decide to celebrate by going on a cruise. The night before the cruise, the girls go to a fortune teller who predicts that there will be trouble during the trip and that one of them may not return. The fortune teller's comment makes the girls think about whether they should still go on the cruise. After a lot of debate, the girls decide to go. They will soon learn whether the fortune teller is correct.
